Installation Principles:

1. The sealing sleeve of the cable terminal and the connection status of each connecting part must ensure its sealing effect, and there shall be no water leakage.

2. The outer casing of the detector must be reliably grounded to prevent interference from external radio frequency and electromagnetic noise.

3. Ensure that the grounding point of each detector and the grounding point of the controller are connected to a reliable grounding point through the shielding layer. It is prohibited for the detectors and controllers of the same system to be independently grounded at different locations.

4. For detectors sampling by diffusion, their sensors must come into contact with the target gas in order to respond and conduct detection.

5. It is prohibited to directly install the detector on a heat source or a vibration source.

Wiring Requirements:

1. Meet the relevant requirements of GB3836.15-2000 "Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmospheres - Part 15: Electrical Installations in Hazardous Areas (Excluding Mines)". It is recommended that the relay output wires adopt RVS twisted-pair wires with a cross-sectional area of ≥1.0 mm²; the power supply wires and communication wires adopt RVVP wires with a cross-sectional area of ≥1.5 mm².

2. Inlet Requirements: Use explosion-proof connectors.

Installation Precautions

1. During installation, the sensor of the detector should be fixed facing downwards to prevent it from being immersed in water or other liquids and getting damaged.

2. After correctly connecting the wires, the top cover of the detector should be completely closed to meet the explosion-proof requirements.

3. The working voltage of the external live terminals and the power plug of the detector is less than 36V. Therefore, there is no insulation requirement between them and the casing. When checking whether the cable is short - circuited to the ground, the detector should not be connected to prevent misjudgment!

Grounding Instructions

Ensure that the grounding bolt of the detector housing is reliably connected to the ground (the wire diameter of the grounding wire for the housing: 4 mm²). Since the system adopts comprehensive grounding, the grounding resistance should not be greater than 1Ω. After confirming that the grounding resistance meets the requirements, the power can be turned on for debugging. Otherwise, you will be responsible for any relevant consequences.

Detector Installation (Figure 1)

1. Fix the mounting bracket to the wall with at least four M5x25 expansion bolts. (To achieve the best performance, the detector should be installed on a hard surface in an area with minimal vibration.)

2. Securely fasten the detector assembly to the mounting bracket using M6 bolts of appropriate length. Remove the front cover.

3. Pass the cable through the G3/4 explosion - proof cable gland and connect it to the terminal block (see wiring diagram in Figure 2).

4. Screw on the detector front cover to complete the installation.

5. Connect the standard 4 mm² grounding wire to the M4x6 grounding bolt.

Wiring Diagram (Figure 2, Figure 3)

1. For the power cable, use a cable with a wire diameter of more than 1.5 mm², and for other cables, use those with a wire diameter of more than 1.0 mm².

2. Refer to Figure 2 for the wiring of the four-bus system and Figure 3 for the wiring of the two-bus system, and connect the cables to the terminal blocks.

Power Supply Voltage:

1. To ensure the reliable operation of the detector, it is essential to ensure that the power supply voltage of the detector is within the range of DC 20.4-27.6 V!

2. If the power supply voltage is lower than 20.4 V, the detector will be in an unstable working state. Please replace the power supply in a timely manner!

Note:

1. To guarantee the safety performance of the product and meet the requirements of type certification, please do not modify this product!

2. To ensure the product performance and the accuracy of the test, the product must run for 20 minutes when it is powered on for the first time!
